Doors — removal and installation (Peugeot 305)

1. Both front and rear doors are removed in the same way. Open the door you want to remove and prop it up from below (without raising).

2. The axes of the upper and lower hinges have plastic caps at the ends. After removing the caps, the axles are removed using a special Peugeot tool. If a tool is not available, the axles can be carefully knocked out. Before removing the hinge pins, it is necessary to remove the cylindrical pin from the door stop.

3. The door is installed in reverse order. Replace worn axles with new ones and lubricate them before installation. Once finished, close the door and check how it fits into the opening.

4. The door's position is adjusted using the hinge halves located on it, which are attached to the door with two bolts. Before loosening the hinge bolts, mark the position of the hinges on the door to have a reference point.



5. The door latch is secured with two countersunk head bolts (see photo). To adjust the position of the latch you will need a hex key.
