Checking and adjusting the pressure regulator requires special equipment, so only have them carried out by Peugeot service centers.
Remove the pressure regulator in the following order:

- disconnect pin 1 (see fig. 9.25) brake fluid level sensor;
- unscrew the cap of the supply tank 2;
- pump out the brake fluid from the supply tank with a syringe;

- disconnect brake lines 1 (pic. 9.32) pressure regulator 2 and push them back;
- close the holes in the tubes and the regulator with plugs;

- loosen the tightening torque of the bolt 3 (pic. 9.33);
- unscrew the bolt 3 fastening the regulator 5;
- unscrew the bolt and remove the spring 2;

- remove the pressure regulator.
Attention! The pressure regulator is delivered in spare parts together with a gasket 1 (pic. 9.34). Do not use this gasket to adjust brake pressure at a service center.
Install the pressure regulator in the reverse order of removal, while fulfilling the following conditions:
- grease bolt 1 (see fig. 9.33) with LOCTITE FRENETANCH and tighten to 20 Nm;

- select the gap at the level of the centering pin 1 (pic. 9.35), by pressing in the direction indicated by the arrow;
- grease bolt 4 (see fig. 9.33) with LOCTITE FRENETANCH and tighten to 17.5 Nm;
- bleed the air from the hydraulic brake system.
