Removal the MA gearbox (Peugeot 206)

When removing and installing the gearbox at Peugeot service centers, the following special tool is used:
  • ball joint removal tool - 0216G1 and 0216G2;
  • clamp for clamps — CLIC 0172;
  • chain;
  • connecting brackets;
  • lift;
  • cross member for holding the power unit - 0009Z;
  • hood rod.

Remove the gearbox in the following order:
  • set the hood to the engine overhaul position using the tool;
  • place the vehicle on a two-post lift;

  • remove clamp 1 (see figure 6.6) using a device;
  • remove the crankcase ventilation tube 2;
  • remove air filter 4 and sleeve 3;

  • pull the rope (see figure 6.7) clutch actuator, then remove it from the clutch release fork lever;

  • if this is not possible, i.e. the automatic gap compensation mechanism is blocked, unscrew bolt 1 (see figure 6.8) to create a minimum gap on the clutch pedal;

  • remove tip 2 of the casing (see figure 6.9) and coupling 1;
  • remove the clutch cable from the support against which the casing rests;

  • unscrew bolt 2 (figure 6.33) and nut 3;
  • disconnect pin connector 1;

  • disconnect pin connector 3 (figure 6.34);
  • unscrew bolts 1 and 2;

  • disconnect the gearbox shift rods using tools (figure 6.35);
  • lift the car;
  • remove the front wheel drive shafts;

  • unscrew bolt 1 (figure 6.36);
  • lower the car;

  • install the crossbar as shown in Figure 6.37 and hook the gearbox to the cable in area B;

  • detach elastic support 3 (figure 6.38) gearboxes;
  • detach bracket 1;

  • disconnect the retainer 1 (figure 6.39);
