Attention. flat side «A» tool 7b must face the gear so as not to rest on the teeth.
Install:
- 3rd gear drive gear (34);
- synchronizer sleeve with its hub (33) (observe the markings made during disassembly);
- pinion gear (32) 4th transferred and its thrust sleeve (31).
Install rear bearing (35) using tools 5 and 7b and a press.
Attention. flat side «A» tool 7b must face the gear so as not to rest on the teeth.
Place the ring on the metal spacer so as not to damage it.
Press the new bearing outer race into the crankcase using drifts 6 and 5.
Checking the adjustment of the input shaft bearings (Removing the outer ring from the clutch housing)
Remove the bearing outer race (36) with the help of a mandrel 6.
Press the new bearing outer race into the crankcase using drifts 4 and 6.
Removing the outer ring from the side of the gearbox housing
Remove bearing outer race (36).
Measure the thickness of the ring (37).
Replace adjusting ring (2) ring less than 0.20 mm thick.
Install the bearing outer race (36) primary shaft.
Install:
- input shaft (39) (new);
- gearbox housing (38);
- bolts (40) (one bolt out of two) tighten to 125 Nm.
Rotate the shaft a few turns.
Adjustment
Install the input shaft nut with the bearing surface facing out. Lightly tighten the nut (41).
Mount indicator 11 on brackets 8, 9 and 10.
Move feeler gauge to nut (41).
Push the shaft axially down.
Set the indicator to zero.
Push the shaft axially up.
Measure value:
- the gap should be in the range from 0.05 to 0.15 mm;
- if the value shown by the indicator is incorrect, adjust the gaps again.
Remove:
- indicator 11 on brackets 8 9 and 10;
- nut (41);
- bolts (40);
- gearbox housing (38);
- input shaft (39).
