XUD7T and XUD9TE engines — disassembly (Peugeot 305)

1. The disassembly procedure is similar to that specified in section 22. The only thing that needs to be added is that the turbocharger must be installed at the same time as the manifolds.

2. When completely disassembling the engine, remove the intake nozzles from the crankcase, which are designed to cool the pistons, and clean or replace them (see Figure 8.3).

3. Before starting the engine for the first time, prime the turbocharger circuit by disconnecting the shut-off solenoid wire from the fuel pump and turning the engine over with the starter three times, each time engaging the starter for 10 seconds.
