Due to the fact that different types of fuel injection systems may be installed on different types of engines, it is not possible to provide a description of each individual device. All of them are described together, especially since in general there is no possibility of carrying out any work with the fuel injection system. Idle speed and CO content are not adjustable here. When checking or finding a fault, you should visit a Peugeot service station, where there are special control devices that work in conjunction with the fuel injection device diagnostic system. The following fuel injection systems are installed on certain vehicles.
The 1.4-liter engine is equipped with a Bosch Motronic MP 3.0 fuel injection system. This is a central injection system.
The 1.4-liter engine is equipped with a Bosch MP 5.1 fuel injection system. This is a distributed injection system.
The 8-valve engine with a displacement of 2.0 liters (123 hp) is equipped with a distributed injection system from Magnetti-Marelti (MM8P).
The 16-valve engine with a displacement of 2.0 liters is equipped with a distributed injection system from Bosch (MP3.2).
