Transmission oil (Peugeot 306)

The gearbox oil filler plug is located directly on the side under the cover.

To unscrew the screw, a square key is required. To check the oil level in the gearbox, insert your finger into the hole. If your finger reaches the oil, the oil level is normal. To drain the oil, preferably on a warm engine, unscrew the plug on the bottom of the gearbox, directly under the drive shaft on the cover side. A special key is required to unscrew the screw. Drain the oil into a container provided. To ensure better oil drainage, unscrew the filler plug. Clean the drain plug and tighten it. The plugs are tightened to a torque of 25 Nm. 2 liters are poured into the gearbox (mA type gearbox) or 1.8 liters (vEZ type gearbox). The oil level reaches the lower edge of the filler hole. Finally, screw the plug in and tighten it to a torque of 25 Nm.
