Replacing the front door lock (Peugeot 307)

To remove the front door lock:
  • lift the glass up to the stop;
  • turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground wire from the battery;
  • remove the front door trim panel from the inside rear side;

  • remove the inner handle 3 (figure 10.12) opening the door by pulling it towards the door hinges;
  • release the rod 4 of the inner door opening handle from the clamps;
  • remove screws 1 securing the rear door glass guide;
  • remove the rear door glass guide through hole A in the inner door panel;
  • remove the three screws 2 securing the door lock;

  • peel off the dust and moisture protective film 5 from the top and bottom, disconnect the electrical connector 1 (figure 10.13) doors;
  • disconnect rod 2 from the outer door opening handle lever;
  • disconnect rod 3 from the front door lock lever;
  • remove the front door lock through the hole in the inner door panel.

To install the front door lock:
  • secure the dust and moisture protection film, installing it without folds or tears;

Caution! Connect the control unit electrical harness only after removing it.

  • clean the surface to which the dust and moisture protective film is glued;
  • further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
  • connect the ground wire to the battery;
  • check the functionality of electrical equipment;
  • initiate all electronic systems.
