Checking the angles (figure 7.1) wheel installations should be carried out in specialized workshops with special equipment. Wheel installation angles are given in Table 7.1.

Convergence (figure 7.2) can be defined as half the difference in distance between the front and rear sides of the wheel rims. Toe-in affects the straightness of the vehicle's movement and its control. Deviation of the wheel toe-in value from the nominal value leads to increased tire wear.

Wheel camber angle



The camber angle is characterized by the angle of the wheel in relation to the road surface in the vertical plane. Reduces impacts from road irregularities on the steering, and also reduces friction of the wheels on the road. The front wheels of the Peugeot have a positive camber - i.e. the upper half of the wheel is tilted from the middle of the car. The camber of the Peugeot is not adjustable.

Lateral tilt of the wheel pivot axis



It is determined by the angle between the axis of rotation and the vertical in the transverse plane of the car. It affects the control force and the stabilizing moment.

Longitudinal tilt of the wheel pivot axis



Determined by the angle between the wheel's rotation axis and the vertical in the side view. Affects the car's handling and stabilizing moment.
