Pic. 7.1. Wheel alignment angles: A - longitudinal inclination of the wheel; B - camber angle; C - transverse inclination of the axis of rotation of the wheel
Checking angles (pic. 7.1) install the wheels in specialized workshops with special equipment. The value of the angles of installation of the wheels are given in table. 7.1.

Convergence
Pic. 7.2. Wheel alignment scheme
Convergence (pic. 7.2) can be defined as half the difference in the distance between the front and rear flanges of the wheel rims. Convergence affects the straightness of the vehicle and its handling. The deviation of the wheel toe value from the nominal value leads to increased tire wear.
Camber angle
The camber angle is characterized by the angle of the wheel in relation to the road surface in a vertical plane. Reduces the impact of bumps in the road on the steering, and also reduces the friction of the wheels on the road. The front wheels of a Peugeot have a positive camber—i.e. the top half of the wheel is tilted away from the middle of the car. Peugeot's camber is not adjustable.
Lateral inclination of an axis of turn of a wheel
It is determined by the angle between the axis of rotation and the vertical in the transverse plane of the vehicle. Influences the control force and the stabilizing moment.
Longitudinal inclination of the axis of rotation of the wheel
Defined by the angle between the axis of rotation of the wheel and the vertical in the side view. Affects vehicle handling and stabilizing moment.
