The cylinder blocks of the DW10 ATED and DW10TD engines are identical and differ only in the factory plates.

The cylinder block is made of cast iron and has no removable liners. The cylinder diameter is 85 mm. Five main bearing caps have C-shaped grooves (figure 4.27) to reduce the weight of the cylinder block. The thickness of the bridges is 8 mm between the cylinders with the A ducts of the coolant and the cutting of the bridges B to improve their cooling in the upper part of the block. The engine is equipped with a hole for draining the coolant, located on the rear wall of the block and closed with a plug.

Note: Cylinders are counted from the flywheel side.
