The maximum warping of the mating surface of the block head is not more than 0.03 mm.
The air-fuel mixture intake channels in the cylinder head have a complex helical shape, which contributes to the formation of a vortex. New seats and valve guides made of annealed steel are used.
The seal between the camshaft bearing housing and the cylinder head is made using CAF 33 type sealant.

A gasket of appropriate thickness is installed between the head and the cylinder block, its marking is shown in fig. 4.29. The thickness of the gasket is selected depending on the amount of protrusion of the pistons above the mating surface. There are 5 grades of multilayer metal gaskets (tab. 4.2).
