The maximum warpage of the mating surface of the cylinder head is no more than 0.03 mm.
The fuel-air mixture intake channels in the cylinder head have a complex spiral shape, which contributes to the formation of a vortex. New valve seats and guide bushings made of annealed steel are used.
The sealing of the connection between the camshaft bearing housing and the cylinder head is carried out using a sealant of the CAF 33 type.
Figure 4.29. Marking of the cylinder head gasket for DW10 TD and DW10 ATED engines: G - marking zone
A gasket of the appropriate thickness is installed between the head and the cylinder block; its marking is shown in Figure 4.29. The thickness of the gasket is selected depending on the amount of piston protrusion above the mating surface. There are 5 classes of multilayer metal gaskets (Table 4.2).
Table 4.2. Gasket selection
| Piston protrusion, mm | Thickness, mm | Number of holes in zone G |
| 0,47-0,604 | 1,30±0,06 | 1 |
| 0,605-0,654 | 1,35±0,06 | 2 |
| 0,655-0,704 | 1,40±0,06 | 3 |
| 0,705-0,754 | 1,45±0,06 | 4 |
| 0,755-0,83 | 1,50±0,06 | 5 |
