1. After removing the valve timing and clutch mechanism from the crankcase, the engine and gearbox are held together only by bolts in the front and rear flanges.
2. Place the engine with the gearbox under the hoists and gradually loosen the bolts in the two connecting flanges. Connect the hoists to the engine and remove the bolts. Disconnect the engine from the gearbox, lift it with a lift and transfer it to the work bench.
