1. Support the engine with wooden blocks and then gradually loosen the 10 cylinder head bolts in the reverse order of their tightening (see section 35). As the bolts are loosened, the rocker mechanism will gradually raise the head due to the pressure of the valve and cam springs. Remove bolts and nuts.
2. Remove the rocker mechanism from the cylinder head.
3. Remove the cylinder head from the block. If it does not go, you can insert 2 rods into the holes for the head bolts and try to swing it. It is forbidden to knock on the head or try to pry it with any tool, because. this can damage the sealing surfaces. Remove the cylinder head gasket.
4. If you are not going to disassemble the engine further, you should install metal strips on the cylinder block to hold the liners in place. The strips are attached to the block with bolts inserted into the cylinder head bolt holes. You can make them yourself, but before installing on the block, you need to clean their edges so as not to scratch the contact surface of the block.
