33. Relieve pressure from the cooling system by removing the expansion tank cap.
34. Clamp the water hoses next to the transmission fluid cooler and disconnect them from the radiator pipes (be prepared for some liquid to spill).
35. To clear surfaces around a place of connection of a radiator to a transmission. Remove the central radiator bolt, turn it so that the pipes look up, and remove the radiator from the box. Make sure that dirt and coolant do not get into the box.
36. The radiator is mounted on a box with new gaskets moistened with clean transmission fluid. The O-ring under the head of the central bolt should also be replaced.
37. Install the radiator so that its side surface is parallel to the seam between the torque converter housing and the gearbox. Tighten the center bolt to the correct torque.
38. Connect the water hoses to the radiator and remove the clamps from them.
39. Add fluid to the cooling system (see chapter 2A). Be aware that there are three bleed valves on automatic transmission models (see b/fig. 12.81).
40. Check the fluid level in the box (see above) and top up if necessary.
41. With the engine running, inspect the radiator for coolant or automatic transmission fluid leaks.
42. When finished, reinstall the air cleaner.
