Removing and installing the anti-roll bar on a Peugeot 306 is a labor-intensive job, as the entire frame must be removed from the underside of the body. In addition, it is necessary to disconnect the steering shaft from the steering gear and loosen the torque support fastening.

Since it is unlikely that the stabilizer bar will need to be removed, this work will not be described.

The anti-roll bar is connected on both sides by rods to the shock absorber struts. Most work requires disconnecting the front wheel suspension either from the top or bottom.

If the frame and the above mentioned parts are removed, the following tightening torques must be observed during installation:
  • Front and rear frame mount - 85 Nm
  • Stabilizer mounting brackets - 55 Nm
  • Stabilizer link nuts - 40 Nm
  • Moment support - 50 Nm
  • Steering shaft to steering gear pinion - 25 Nm
