- All work on the fuel injection device must be performed in clean conditions. To avoid dust, outdoor work should only be carried out on windless days.
- All union nuts securing the tubes must be wiped clean with a cloth before being unscrewed.
- Removed parts must be placed on a clean workbench and covered with paper or plastic. Do not use rags with lint to cover parts.
- All removed or partially disassembled parts must be suitably covered or stored in closed boxes unless repaired immediately.
- Before installing parts, it is necessary to check their impeccable cleanliness.
- If any system parts are open, do not use compressed air to blow out any parts in the engine.
- If possible, do not move the vehicle when removing fuel injection system components.
- Do not allow diesel fuel to come into contact with the cooling system hoses. If this happens, wipe off the hoses immediately. Hoses contaminated and damaged by diesel fuel must be replaced.
