- unscrew fastening nut 1 (pic. 6.2) and disconnect the anti-roll bar link from the suspension strut;
- note the position of the bolts securing the lower part of the shock absorber to the steering knuckle;
- while holding the bolts from turning with one wrench, unscrew the nuts with the second wrench 2. To prevent the steering knuckle from lowering with a soft wire, fix it to the subframe;
- remove the bolts securing the lower part of the shock absorber to the steering knuckle;
- unscrew the nut 3 fastening the pin of the ball joint of the tie rod end to the steering knuckle, while being careful not to damage the protective cover of the constant velocity joint of the drive shaft;
- using a puller, remove the ball joint from the steering knuckle;
- remove the wiper arms;

- remove panel 1 (pic. 6.3) opening in front of the windshield;
Pic. 6.4. Nut location (1) fastening of a shock-absorber rod to a body
- fixing the shock absorber rod from turning with a TORX 45 wrench and using another spanner wrench, unscrew nut 1 (pic. 6.4) fastening the shock absorber rod to the body;
- deflect to the side the upper part of the steering knuckle;
- being careful, remove the shock absorber strut from under the front fender. At the same time, do not damage the protective cover of the constant-velocity joint of the drive shaft.
Install the suspension strut in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- at installation it is necessary to use new self-locking nuts;
- fixing the shock absorber rod from turning with a TORX 45 wrench and using another box wrench, screw in and tighten nut 1 with a torque of 69 Nm (see fig. 6.4) fastening the shock absorber rod to the body;
- in accordance with the previously applied marks, insert the bolts of the suspension strut to the steering knuckle and tighten the nuts 2 (see fig. 6.2), tightening them with a torque of 90 Nm;
- tighten the nuts securing the ball joint pin 3 (see fig. 6.2) a torque of 50 Nm, and a nut for securing the stabilizer link with a torque of 36 Nm;
- install the wheel and fix it with bolts. Lower the car and tighten the wheel bolts to 90 Nm.
