5. The only regular procedure required is to change the oil. There is no opportunity to check the oil level in the box or in the final drive housing, so the oil must be drained completely and then pour as much oil into the box as recommended in Specifications.
6. In addition to the regular (planned) oil change, it is necessary to change the oil in a new or restored box after the first 1500-2500 km of run, as well as after work to eliminate the detected leak, because. in this case, the level of oil remaining in the box will also be unknown.
7. Please note that there are 2 drain plugs on the box: one for the box crankcase and the second for the final drive crankcase. When draining the oil, both plugs must be removed.
8. Fresh oil is poured into the box through the filler hole (see photo). Remember that you need to measure the required amount of oil in advance.
Models since November 1986
9. Beginning in October 1987, the filler plug on the box can be used to check the oil level in the box itself and in the final drive case, so oil can be topped up as needed. There is only one drain plug, and it is located on the final drive housing. The oil is drained using this plug.
