To remove the differential case, do the following:
  • remove the gearbox;
  • remove the differential box;

  • using the FACOM U53 K2 1 universal puller (figure 5.41), remove bearings 2 from the differential box;

  • knock out the locking pin 1 of the axle 4 mount (figure 5.42) satellites;
  • remove the 4 satellite axle;
  • turn and remove satellites 3 and thrust cups 2 from the differential box;
  • from the side opposite the driven gear, remove the centering sleeve 6;

Caution! Do not disconnect the satellites from the thrust cups, or the drive shaft gears from their friction washers.

  • unscrew the bolts and remove the driven gear.

Install the differential box as follows:
  • using a special tool, install the bearings on the differential box;
  • install the satellite axle, satellites and thrust cups, having first turned them;
  • install planetary gears;
  • on the side opposite the driven gear, install the centering sleeve;
  • secure the satellite axle with new locking pins;
  • install and secure the driven gear with new bolts, tightening them crosswise to a torque of 20 N·m and finally to a torque of 60 N·m.
