1. Raise and support the front of the car. Apply the handbrake.

2. Most of the work required is described in chapter 7, Section 2, Paragraphs 2-7. In addition, you will have to remove the brake caliper and disconnect the tie rod end.

3. For the brake caliper removal procedure, see. v chapter 8, Section 6. However, in this case, there is no need to touch the hydraulic brake system. Turn the caliper to the side without disconnecting the brake hose from it, and hang it on the wire, making sure that the hose is not stretched.

4. Disconnect the tie rod end by unscrewing the nut and pulling out the pin using a ball joint puller.

5. Support the lower end of the front pillar with wooden blocks and unscrew the 3 bolts of its upper mount (see photo). Carefully remove the rack from the car.

6. Installation of the front strut is carried out in reverse order. After installing the rack in place, support it with wooden blocks, install a new top mount locking plate, insert 3 mounting bolts, tighten them to the required torque and lock by bending the tabs of the locking plate. Check that the shock absorber rod nut located on the top of the strut is tightened to the required torque. While checking the tightening torque of the nut, the rod must be locked from rotation with a screwdriver.

7. The remaining operations are performed in reverse order.
