2. Most of the necessary work is described in chapter 7, section 2, paragraphs 2-7. Also, you will have to remove the brake caliper and disconnect the tie rod end.
3. Refer to the brake caliper removal procedure chapter 8, section 6. However, in this case, you can not touch the hydraulic brake system. Turn the caliper to the side without disconnecting the brake hose from it, and hang it on the wire, making sure that the hose is not taut.
4. Disconnect the tie rod end by unscrewing the nut and pulling out the pin with a ball joint puller.
5. Support the lower end of the front pillar with wooden blocks and unscrew the 3 bolts of its upper fastening (see photo). Carefully remove the stand from the machine.
6. Installation of a forward rack is made in reverse order. After installing the rack in place, support it with wooden blocks, install a new top fixing lock plate, insert 3 mounting bolts, tie them to the desired moment and lock by bending the tabs of the lock plate. Check that the shock absorber rod nut on top of the strut is tightened to the correct torque. While checking the torque of the nut, the stem must be blocked from rotation with a screwdriver.
7. The remaining operations are performed in reverse order.
