1. Remove the engine from the gearbox and disconnect them (see sections 19 and 20) (or remove only the box).

2. Make reference marks and gradually loosen the clutch basket bolts. Remove the clutch basket and driven disc (see photo).

3. While holding the flywheel from turning with a screwdriver inserted between the starter ring teeth and the gearbox mounting pin, unscrew and remove the flywheel mounting bolts. Remove the flywheel from the crankshaft. No reference marks are required as there is a locating pin on the crankshaft flange. When reinstalling the flywheel, new bolts will be required.

4. Clean the contact surfaces of the crankshaft and flywheel.

5. Install the flywheel onto the crankshaft, making sure that it fits onto the pin.

6. Apply thread locking fluid to the bolt threads, insert them and tighten to the required torque, holding the flywheel so that it does not rotate (see photos).

7. Install the driven disc and clutch basket.

8. Install the gearbox in place (and the engine, if removed).
