  • remove the front brake pads;
  • remove the cap from the brake system expansion tank, cover the neck of the tank with polyethylene and screw the cap back on. This is necessary to ensure that the lid seals the expansion tank tightly;

To install the front brake caliper:
  • clean off dust and dirt from the caliper and rust from the edge of the brake disc. Clean the brake disc with a solvent such as HENKEL;
  • check for brake fluid leakage from under the piston;
  • check the condition and proper fit of the cuff and protective corrugated caps;
  • check the brake disc for cracks, especially around the wheel bolt holes, as well as for wear or mechanical damage, and replace both brake discs if necessary;
  • measure the thickness of the brake disc;
  • make sure the caliper guide pins slide freely;
  • replace faulty parts if necessary;
  • install the caliper holder with the caliper onto the steering knuckle;
  • secure the caliper holder with 2 new bolts, after covering the bolt threads with a locking compound to prevent them from loosening;
  • tighten the caliper bracket mounting bolts to a torque of 105 N·m;
  • install the brake hose onto the caliper and tighten the brake hose union nut to a torque of 15 N·m;
  • install the brake hose onto the brake pipe and tighten the brake hose union nut to 16 N·m;
  • install brake pads;

Caution! Do not allow the brake hose to become kinked.

Caution! Make sure that when turning the front wheel from one extreme position to the other, the brake hose does not come into contact with the front suspension components and the body.

  • remove air from the hydraulic circuit of the brake system;

Important! Always replace all brake pads on a single axle, even if only one is worn. If you are reinstalling old brake pads, be sure to mark them before removing them.

  • install the wheel and secure it with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 90 Nm.
