41. Check that the clutch release mechanism components are correctly installed in the clutch housing and that the driven disc and clutch basket are installed on the flywheel. (On models with an automatic transmission, check that the torque converter is installed correctly).
42. Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound to the nose and splines of the gearbox input shaft and attach the gearbox to the engine. Make sure that the box does not rest with all its weight on its drive shaft. If the drive shaft does not pass through the clutch, then most likely the driven clutch disc is poorly centered. Also check that the transmission drive shaft fits into the guide groove on the crankshaft.
44. On models with manual transmission, install the clutch cable guide and pivot brackets.
