41. Check that the parts of the clutch release mechanism are correctly installed in the clutch housing and that the clutch disc and clutch basket are installed on the flywheel. (On models with automatic transmission, check that the torque converter is installed correctly).
42. Apply a little anti-seize compound to the toe and splines of the gearbox input shaft and attach the gearbox to the engine. Make sure that the box does not rest with its entire weight on its drive shaft. If the drive shaft does not pass through the clutch, then the clutch disc is most likely not centered well. Also check that the drive shaft of the box fits into the guide recess on the crankshaft.
44. On manual transmission models, install the clutch cable guide and pivot brackets.
