45. Install the drive shaft seal protector on the right side of the final drive assembly (see photo).
46. Raise and support the front of the vehicle and place the engine and gearbox under the engine compartment.
47. Connect the hoists to the engine and gearbox and lift them into place, making sure not to touch the cables, tubes, etc. Insert the left mounting pin into place and put the nut on it. Secure the right upper engine mount.
48. Check that the right drive shaft bearing housing is in place and insert the right drive shaft into the smooth transmission. Secure the bearing housing and remove the seal protection device.
49. Remove the tool for holding the differential axle gear in place and connect the left drive shaft to the final drive.
50. Install the lower engine mount and tighten its fasteners.
51. Reconnect the disconnected suspension and steering components, replacing the ball joint nuts with new ones.
52. Connect the exhaust downpipes to the exhaust manifold flange, replacing the gasket with a new one. Tighten the nuts.
53. Install the right wing inner panel and the lower radiator hose, which is secured to the panel with a support bracket.
54. Install the wheels and lower the car to the ground. Install auxiliary equipment, hoses, wires, tubes, etc. Check again that everything is connected.
55. When connecting the hoses to the intake manifold, note that the brake booster vacuum hose is at the front and goes to the left side of the engine. The water hose is connected to the front center pipe, and the crankcase ventilation hose is connected to the rear center pipe. Also pay attention to how the hoses are connected to the carburetor (see photo).
